60-in-1 iCade Classic Multigame JAMMA PCB - Original

" Very well done and easy to work with, I am never disappointed. I’ve built cocktail, upright and bar top machines with this board at the heart. It’s easy to set up for any style cabinet. It has most of the primo first generation arcade games, allows 2 player upright or screen flip, coin op or free play and you can shut games down you don’t want in the menu, all the way down to one game, making it a pretty good way to replace a dedicated machines fried PCB. If I could get one upgrade to this board it would be the winners list initial’s saved (lost if you power down). I’ve never thought the sound was that bad but I’m no purist, some games are louder than others but an external volume control takes care of that. Set it up with dedicated Test/Service buttons and its really easy to make most changes without having to get to the board. Also if your power supply has a 220v/110v switch make sure its set to the correct voltage if 220v is selected with a 110v input the board may function but it will reset (restart) randomly, very annoying!"

"I bought this in January of 2010, and have been running it since then (this is June 2010). Minus the JAMMA PCB, I bought an upright "Multicade" cabinet from another company that was ready to go if I wanted to make money off the public. I just plugged the PCB into the JAMMA harness and it practically fired right up (after initializing)...I felt like I was 12 years old, and it was 1984 all over again.
My wife, kids, friends and I continue to play all the time. I have a cup of quarters to the side so I can just drop them in manually, to get the feel of being in the ARCADE. I was able to turn off what I thought was less than desirable games, but that was only 4 or 5. Able to tweek the setting (more men, faster, harder/easier, etc.)

CONs: The instructions book is a little less to be desired, took a little bit of figuring when it came to the on screen dip switches and how to work it, but was able to do so after a bit of fooling around. The top high score remains if set up via dip switches, but if power goes out, the top score remains but the initials/name next to score(s) are lost when power comes back on.

Can NOT continue a game (or I have not figured it out yet). When game is over, it will go to top score screen of said game if you scored high enough, but you can not push the one or two player button to continue e.g. Zaxxon, a "0" next to "credits" will be shown of that particular game, even if you have more credits on main multicade menu screen. Then it will quickly revert back to the main multicade menu screen where the credit(s) are displayed; clear as mud? The multicade menu screen has an annoying musical song or what ever you want to call it, that plays over and over when there is a credit in the multicade menu screen and if you are trying to concentrate on something else, it will gnaw into your brain and make you do craaazzzy things, so just keep the credits at 0 if not going to play anytime soon.

At this time, this is all I can think of, but overall it was highly worth the buck fifty (minus shipping) I paid. I play the hell out of it and if/when an upgrade (more games) of this series comes about, I will purchase from jammaboards.com again.

"On my 60n1 I put buttons on the side of the cabinet just forward of the C.P. clips.On the top front right side corner of the C.P.I put a button for the "shake" function. I got lucky in that I had a Sega button from some new stock I'v had for years and it was just smaller in dia. than a normal button but just long enough to fit threw the C.P.metal and not interfere with the "flipper" buttons.With this mod the pinball game was much better to play.I have 27 years working as a tech. on bar and arcade equipment as well as management so I,m always trying to make games play and work better. I'm a big fan of cabinet fans with filters.Try this mod and let me know what you think."

"A bit of background; I consider myself a gamer, but having been born in 88' I haven't experienced the arcade machines like most people here. Nevertheless, I have a great love for the classics and you can imagine how lucky I felt when I saw a brand new jamma cocktail table being thrown out in front of my neighbors. After some research I found it WAS a jamma configuration (and learned what jamma was!). The monitor was working but the card appeared to be burnt out. Taking a risk I went ahead and purchased the 60-in-1. It was extremely plug and play. Just plug the harness in and your off. Getting into setup was a bit of a pain, the manual didn't clarify that DIP SW-1 was the only one on the board, all the other charts are explaining the switches in the software. Also, to advance in the menu you NEED a second button for one of the players. Fortunately, i had ordered a second button i plan to drill in, and just hooked it up to advance and finish setup.
Like i said, i don't have alot of experience with some of these games, hadn't heard of some of them. This board is still worth the money just for the classics. We're having alot of fun with the games we've never heard of too.
The sound, as some have mentioned, does distort on some games, I have mine set pretty low and it never sounds bad to me.
The setup on my arcade is a cocktail with 1 joystick 1 button per player and i find that it works just fine for a majority of the games.
I wish that, since it is marketed to cocktail tables, it had two player at once games, such as pong, but really what you have here is a board that runs on a vertical screen, then simply flips it for the next player and their turn. It is still a load of fun when you have two people trying to set a high score against each other.
Which brings me to the other point, the high score saver. It's a real shame that it only saves the 1st rank high score.... and without a name... but I suppose it is still better than nothing.

Overall I think this might be one of the single best purchases I've made as far as entertainment goes. A great value and easy install.
